Art and Craft Education Master Thesis Programme
Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Second Cycle Degree in Painting Education upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation

Objectives

Upon successful completion of the programme, the student;

Presents the field related developments and works to the groups of the field or the groups of different fields in written, oral or visual form systematically.Possesses the competency of a foreign language at European Language Portfolio B2 level minimum and becomes able to communicate in written and oral form.Presents and shares field specific information in written and oral form at national/international level.Makes use of the specific computer software as a necessity of the field together with information and communication technologies at an advanced level.Interprets the field-related strategies, policies and application plans, develops the plans in question and evaluates the results obtained within the scope of quality processes.    

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are selected according to foreign language, ales and branch exams.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Students should:

successfully complete at least 7 different graduate courses from the following list offered below, have totally minimum of 21 national credits, (60 ECTS credits, including graduate seminar)take special studies course on the thesis subject, (20 ECTS credits),prepare and defende thesis, (40 ECTS credits),obtain a cumulative grade point average of at least 70 on a 100 scale.
Profile of The Programme

The basic orientation of this programme is to prepare a specialist in painting education and to form their basic competences in theoretical and application subjects. This programme is open all of the first cycles. The programme gives an education about applications, theorems, methods which used on painting education.

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  To define the purpose of the test and evaluation practices related with learning and teaching process of visual arts.
 2-  To follow up evaluate artistic progress of the students during the learning activities which will be organized in accordence with the arts and design works.
 3-  To evaluate and follow up the students in artistic approach and cultural progress in learning and teaching activities
 4-  To provide personal and professional progress base related with the visual arts education
 5-  To establish connection amongst the knowledge fields, branches, and subjects
 6-  Students will have an educational understanding of creating and accessing information
 7-  To be able to adopt the principles of creating individuals searching, thinking and creating new ideas.
 8-  The students will be able to plan and execute professional projects and artistic activities that reflect social responsibility
 9-  To help the students to develope abilities to make original visual works by means of studying the artistic works through analysis and evaluation methods
 10-  To be able to define the purpose of the practices of test and evaluationrelated with the progress of visual art learning and teaching
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Graduates can study as a teacher or in their own programme of universities.

Access to Further Studies

In case of completion at this programme, the students can postgraduate.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

The students are evaluated with their mid-term, final exam, assignment, project studies and etc.

Graduation Requirements

The students must participate to the courses of programme. Also the students who are succesfull on mid-term, final exam and thesis can graduate from this programme.
