Civil Aviation Management Program
Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in Civil Aviation Transport Managemet upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Objectives

At the end of the programme, students; 

Civil Aviation sector-related legislation and this legislation provides for judges to apply the rules. 
Civil Aviation sector with other sectors of the economic structure and analyze the relationship. 
Leadership, communication, creative thinking skills and develop problem solving skills. 
Work to fulfill the requirements of the level of foreign language is learned. 
Would dominate the information technology used in business.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students\' admission to higher education is based on a nation-wide Transition to Higher Education Exam (YGS). The examination is held once a year and is administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) (www.osym.gov.tr). Candidates gain access to institutions of higher education based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the selection examination and their high school grade point averages. Technical High School graduates can register without an exam by the law 4702.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Second Cycle Degree are to complete 120 ECTS credit hours as listed below and to fulfill all other requirements
a.(103) ECTS Credit hours covering (36) compulsory courses as detailed in the curriculum. b.(17) ECTS Credit hours covering (5) elective courses as detailed in the curriculum. 
c.Maximum study period to receive Short Cycle Degree is 4 years.

Profile of The Programme

Civil Aviation Transport Management Program; airports, airlines and handling of business aircraft in the operational within the framework of national and international safety standards to perform the operation, equipped with the necessary knowledge of business aviation and aims to educate qualified manpower. In this context, students, aircraft and transportation systems containing technical information and operational discipline to be taught in order to gain the information and skills training is provided.

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  Students will have information about the legal implications in the air transport sector management and business practices of businesses.
 2-  May interpret the information acquired on air transport, analyze, identify problems and propose solutions can bring.
 3-  Theoretical and practical knowledge related to air transport, appropriate analytical methods and modeling techniques can be applied by selecting.
 4-  May determine goals and objectives for the air transport agency.
 5-  To follow developments in science and technology, acquired knowledge / skills to critically evaluate the approach on air transport.
 6-  Could communicate and contact with Civil Aviation related persons and cooperates.
 7-  To-date information in the field of air transport on the containing books, tools and other resources to the advanced level of theoretical knowledge transfer.
 8-  Information on air transport employees and have the ability to transfer to teammates.
 9-  Can take team working responsibility on projects related to air transport.
 10-  Could speak and write in a foreign language in general level in purpose of collecting and following the developments at its field.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The occupational profiles of the graduates contain:
• Professional readiness and level of professional adaptibility to conditions and requirements from the practice or basic professional education as the precondition for the follow-up education in Civil Aviation Transport Management department.

Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme on condition that they succeed in Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). These programmes are;

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

In the evaluation of course grading, depending on the type of the course, oral exams, homeworks, projects or laboratory works are taken into consideration. As for the assesment of the examinations; one midterm exam and/or other studies which take the place of mid-term exam has the contribution of 40% and the contribution of the final exam to the course grade is 60%. The research projects in the students\'own fields are conducted by the teaching staff for the students\' own development. A make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within one day after the final examinations are over.

Graduation Requirements

The requirements to graduate from Civil Aviation Transport Management  department are based on the following conditions:
*to be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00
