Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in Public Relations upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Short Cycle Degree


The graduate will have the basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of Public Relations.To be proficient on the rules of the state protocol and social protocol and to complete the responsibilities of the organization or manager s/he represents.Besides the basic sciences such as behavioral sciences and organizational sciences, to have the theoretical information on the interpersonal communication, organizational communication, mass communication and put them into practice

Specific Admission Requirements

Students' admission to higher education is based on a nation-wide Student Selection Examination (ÖSS). The examination is held twice a year and is administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to institutions of higher education based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the selection examination and their high school grade point averages. (

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Second Cycle Degree are to complete 120 ECTS credit hours as listed  and to fulfill all other requirements 

Profile of The Programme

The basic goal of this program is to form qualified, creative and well-informed human resources to maintain inner and outer relations of the administrations. Moreover its aimed to create contemporary individuals to work on public affairs and advertisement areas from theory to practice, who can control organizational knowledge and practicing together; acquired the skill of researching and comprehended the ethical, economical and legal sides of the job. It aims to divert and use effectively the work force, which believes in the necessity of public affairs, advertisement and communication on the business and social life of Turkey, to the public affairs, advertisement and communication sector of the country which tries to co-operate with European Union in the globalized world. 

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  Have basic teorical and practical knowledge supported with course books, practice tools and other sources covering current knowledge on Public Relations. . . . . . . . .
 2-  Have the knowledge related to theory, method and strategy on marketing,customer relations and publicity,human resources, entraprenership and organization which are close concepts to Public Relations.
 3-  Have professional knowledge of environment and tools of communication.
 4-  Conduct the work expected from him/her as a member of the organization in Public Relations and have a broader sense of entrepreneur and administrative vision.
 5-  Be aware of life-long learning process.
 6-  Have the professional, social, scientific, cultural and moral values in the process of collecting, implementation and announcement of the data related to Public Relations.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The students who finish the programme with associate degree, has appellation of Public Relations and Publicity Personnel. The students, who graduate from Public Relations and Publicity programme, have broad business in public and private sectors. The alumni,  Responsible for customers relations in public relations, marketing and sales departments,  The responsible of advertisement and publicity,  can work as responsible for public relations,  In addition, they can employ in public relations department of municipalities, associations, chambers, bar associations and institutions and newspapers, magazines, radio, TV broadcasting in the organs such as overall employment in the media sector. 

Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme that can last up to 2 years on condition that they pass the Vertical Transfer Examination.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester. Examinations are generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the form of an oral exam, project or assignment on condition that s/he states it on the course information form. Students who have not attended at least 70% of theoretical courses are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Once the student fulfills the attendance requirements in theoretical courses, no attendance is required if the course is to be repeated later.

Graduation Requirements

To be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00 To do an internship of 30 weekdays

Graduates who successfully complete this program;
 1. have high level information and skills supported by the course books that include the most recent information, application equipment and other scientific sources related to education technologies, teaching profession, general information and basic sciences; use these informations and skills in daily life and in jobs,
