Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in Foreign Trade upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation

Short Cycle Degree


The graduate will have the basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the field of Foreign Trade theory. Knows and applies national and international files that aplied in foreign commerce. To have sufficient foreign language information on profession. To have information about the structure of business by understanding national and international events.Being able to interpret, analyze, identify problems and propose solutions for national and international organizations, institutions, systems, actors, policies and strategies
Acting in accordance with business and social ethics in collecting, analyzing, evaluating, applying and sharing of all kinds of data regarding International Finance, Trade, Economy and Management.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students' admission to higher education is based on a nation-wide Student Selection Examination (ÖSS). The examination is held once a year and is administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to institutions of higher education based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the selection examination and their high school grade point averages.(

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Short Cycle Degree are to complete 97 national and 120 ECTS credit hours as listed below and to fulfill all other requirements. a)(74) national credit hours covering (30) compulsory courses as detailed in the curriculum. b)(23) national credit hours covering (9) elective courses as detailed in the curriculum. c) Students are to do an internship for 30 working days after the end of the semestre.

Profile of The Programme

Current businesses are come up against international competition both internal and external market so they have to both make their activity professionally and produce qualified service and good. In the heavy competition environment this program aims to grow foreign commerce specialist who; solution oriented, posses the custom regulations, equipped with the practical knowledge on the subject of foreign commerce, respond to import movement of industry especially small and medium size enterprises that went toward to developing markets. 

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  Have enough educational background in Foreign Trade, Law, Accountancy, Basic Business Administration, Management and in issues related to his/her field, acquire conceptual and applied knowledge. .. .. . . . . . . . . .
 2-  Have the ability to evaluate and interpret the data, and define and analyze the problems, in order to make solution suggestions based on evidence and proofs by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in his/her field of study.
 3-  Gain the ability to produce solutions to unforeseen situations, take responsibility in teams and to have the skill to conduct individual works.
 4-  Have a command of communication skills and foreign language in order to communicate efficiently and follow the latest developments in his/her field of study.
 5-  Gain the knowledge as Business Law, Job Security, environmental protection and quality concepts.
 6-  Become skillful at using computer hardware and software in a baseline level required by the field of study.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

 This program offers a two-year study whose graduates can serve as a qualified person in import and export laws in both public and private sectors. The graduates may also find a job as a customs agent, customs expert in customs agencies, or a civil servant in public sector.

Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme that can last up to 2 years, on condition that they pass the Vertical Transfer Examination.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester. Examinations are generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the form of an oral exam, project or assignment on condition that s/he states it on the course information form. Students who have not attended at least 70% of theoretical courses are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Once the student fulfills the attendance requirements in theoretical courses, no attendance is required if the course is to be repeated later.

Graduation Requirements

To be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00 To do an internship of 30 weekdays

Graduates who successfully complete this program;
 1. have high level information and skills supported by the course books that include the most recent information, application equipment and other scientific sources related to education technologies, teaching profession, general information and basic sciences; use these informations and skills in daily life and in jobs,
