Qualification Awarded

Students can graduate with an undergraduate degree after successfully completing all requirements in curriculum and graduation requirements.

Objectives

Physical education activities disarming society, human relations and social cohesion by improving the individuals working to ensure fair play in physical education in accordance with the understanding of issues related to the wonder of scientific support and resources that make up the need for special education activities for children and young people to express themselves in physical education courses that help the understanding of physical education training placed in institutions to work together and share skills with an understanding of department management, and each age group, individuals develop their physical, mental, social and emotional development that contributes to train teachers of physical education which is integrated with the modern world.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students to be accepted Higher Education  through an examination-based on OSS(Student Selection Examination).
Student Selection Examination is organized once a year Selection of Student and Placement Center (OSYM).
Candidates, can apply  the Special Skills Examination with 185 test points taking OSS at Higher Education İnstitutions.
Students who pass this exam are entitled to study in the department.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who registered the university can apply for exemption from courses that had  succeeded in İnstitutions of Higher Education previously.
For this purpose, the contents of the transcript and course record with a petition must submit the relevant unit in the first week of the term.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Conditions to receive Bachelor's Degree, complete National 163/240 ECTS credits and  the School Experience and Teaching Practice courses successfully complete.

Profile of The Programme

The main objective of this program, educate creating education and communication skills of the students as physical education and sports teachers.

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

• Professional adaptation of different situations,
• Doing of  applications or teaching about field.

Access to Further Studies

After Bachelor's Degree, it is possible to continue studies of graduate that goes on 2 years.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

All exams and other activities are graded based on 100 points. The midterm and final exams represent 40% and 60% of the final grade, respectively. However, a student who gets a grade below 30 out of 100 is graded as FF. A student obtaining one of the grades of (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (G), and (B) is considered successful in that course. To enter exams, students must meet following requirements that are specifically outlined in “Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Regulation for Vocational and Undergraduate Education and Examination”:

a) Enrolment for the course in question,
b) At least 70% attendance of the course,
c) At least 80% attendance of the practices in the course,
d) Successfully completing practical projects.
Other matters related to learning and exams are given in “Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Regulation for Vocational and Undergraduate Education and Examination”.

Grade conversion is carried out from the 100 grade scale into the Letter grade scale and 4 point grade scale using the table given below for Bachelor’s Degree Programs at Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

K: Unsuccessful in non-credited courses, internship, industry based training, professional orientation program, and the practice,
M: Exempt,
B: Successful.
