Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in Marketing and Foreign Trade upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Level of Qualification

Short Cycle Degree


At the end of the programme, students;
1.will be able to define, collect and apply the data required for solutions of the problems in marketing and foreign trade of enterprises efficiently,
2.indicate the comprehension of theoretical knowledge, and/or intellectual skills required for practical applications,
3.can express the designs and applications about Marketing and Foreign Trade clearly to colleagues, superiors and to person & groups serviced; are able to work within a team,
4.will have the ability to learn independently and indicate the comprehension to apply knowledge in marketing and foreign trade,
5.indicate the comprehension of troubleshooting skill for unexpected situations in marketing and foreign trade practices,
6.can use Internet technologies, office, graphic and project management software, further from the basic computer access,
7.are equipped with the necessary information to continue their education with the first cycle degree.

Specific Admission Requirements

Higher Education Students (YGS) Higher Education Examination is considered through an examination based upon a. Examinations performed once a year, the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) are organized ( Candidates are accepted according to higher education institutions, and school grade scores on the YGS exam consisting of a combination of average points score by law Vocational Schools Vocational and Technical Secondary School graduates may be placed without any exam by the law 4702.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Second Cycle Degree are to complete 120 ECTS credit hours as listed below and to fulfill all other requirements
a.(91) ECTS Credit hours covering (22) compulsory courses as detailed in the curriculum. b.(29) ECTS Credit hours covering (11) elective courses as detailed in the curriculum.


Profile of The Programme

The main purpose of this section is to build students' educational, psychological and communicative skills for training members of profession in the field of Marketing and Foreign Trade. Forms the basic skills for profession in Marketing and Foreign Trade. Provides full quality for the member of profession to work for marketing and sales departments and banks.

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  Can define some basic marketing principles and concepts. Marketing-related oral conversion and the ability to interpret data to mathematical formulas can win.
 2-  Related to the marketing environment and situation analysis can detect. In terms of marketing, business and the environment can use simple models to establish a relationship with.
 3-  Marketing issues can apply what they learn to learn independently and can show. In the field of marketing-related issues, social responsibility, ethical values and social security rights they may have knowledge and awareness.
 4-  Areas that require a basic level of ability to use computer software and hardware can win.
 5-  Different disciplines in the field of marketing can have the necessary theoretical knowledge and can apply them in business. Consumer behavior can be knowledgeable and able to build long-term relationships with customers can identify strategies.
 6-  That may be have a knowledge of foreign language at a sufficient level.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The occupational profiles of the graduates contain:
-Professional readiness
-Level of professional adaptibility to conditions
-Requirements from the practice or basic professional education as the precondition for their professional career

Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme on condition that they succeed in Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

In the evaluation of course grading, depending on the type of the course, oral exams, homeworks, projects or laboratory works are taken into consideration. As for the assesment of the examinations; one midterm exam and/or other studies which take the place of mid-term exam has the contribution of 40% and the contribution of the final exam to the course grade is 60%. The research projects in the students'own fields are conducted by the teaching staff for the students' own development. A make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within one day after the final examinations are over.

Graduation Requirements

The requirements to graduate from Marketing and Foreign Trade Department are based on the following conditions:
*to be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00

Graduates who successfully complete this program;
 1. have high level information and skills supported by the course books that include the most recent information, application equipment and other scientific sources related to education technologies, teaching profession, general information and basic sciences; use these informations and skills in daily life and in jobs,
 2. examine and evaluate concepts about education technology and teaching profession, ideas and data with scientific methods; diagnose, analyze and discuss complicated problems and subjects; develop suggestions based on scientific discoveries and evidences,
 3. inform the audiences who are not expert and do not have information about education technology and teaching profession; express related ideas about these problems and solutions with written and oral,
