Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in "Business Administration" upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Objectives
Specific Admission Requirements

Students' admission to higher education is based on a nation-wide Student Selection Examination (ÖSS). The examination is held once a year and is administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to institutions of higher education based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the selection examination and their high school grade point averages.(www.osym.gov.tr)

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Short Cycle Degree are to complete 120 ECTS and  national credit hours as listed below and to fulfill all other requirements.
 Credit hours covering compulsory courses as detailed in the curriculum.
 Credit hours covering  optional courses as detailed in the curriculum.

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  To transfer a basic level information about theories, facts, concepts and principles related to tourism and hotel management field.
 2-  To explain information related with legal regulations, professional standards and practices in the tourism and hotel management.
 3-  To use acquired information related with tourism and hotel management, in the field of profession and from the business environment.
 4-  To know and to use physical environment, equipment, tools and technologies related to the field of tourism and hotel management
 5-  Working as a member of the team and take responsibility.
 6-  Knowledge, skills and competencies related to the field of tourism and hotel management continuously update and improve the awareness of life-long learning.
 7-  Effective interpersonal and intercultural communication.
 8-  To make health, safety and risk assessment related to the field of tourism and hotel management on a regular basis.
 9-  To adhere ethical values related to the field of tourism and hotel management and protect the natural environment.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme that can last up to 2 years, on condition that they pass the Vertical Transfer Examination.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester s/he is enrolled for. Students who have not attended at least %70 of theoretical courses are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Once the student fulfilles the attendance requirements in theoretical courses, no attendance is required if the course is to be repeated later.
Examinations are generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the form of an oral exam, project or assignment on condition that s/he states it on the course information form (syllabus). Examinations are arranged and conducted by the instructors teaching the courses. A make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within 5 working days after the final examinations are over.

Graduation Requirements

To be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00To do an internship of 30 weekdays
