Qualification Awarded

Students are awarded with a Short Cycle Degree in "Business Administration" upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum programme and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Objectives

Will have the basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the Business Management and AccountingWill have the experience about professional lifeWill be able to gain competences necessary to continue their first cycle studyTo know micro and macro economic information 
To gain ability to percept and solve the problems for the situation and events that may arise in business
 Capable to analyze, identify and determine the related field of basic concepts, ideas, data and complex problems and issues, and yet to develop the solutions based on data and research through an evaluation process.
Having capable to produce a solution by taking responsibility for unforeseen complex and uncertain situations met in the field.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students' admission to higher education is based on a nation-wide Student Selection Examination (ÖSS). The examination is held once a year and is administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Candidates gain access to institutions of higher education based on their composite scores consisting of the scores on the selection examination and their high school grade point averages.(www.osym.gov.tr)

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning

The students of our University have the right to request the recognition of their prior learning at different universities. For the recognition of their prior learning, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department in the first semester of their registration year.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The requirements for getting Short Cycle Degree are to complete 120 ECTS and 108 national credit hours as listed below and to fulfill all other requirements.
93 Credit hours covering 33 compulsory courses as detailed in the curriculum.
15 Credit hours covering 5 optional courses as detailed in the curriculum.

Profile of The Programme

The goal of the program is to train qualified people in the field of business administration and accounting in both public and private sectors. Satisfactory completion of the program leads to a diploma and the title as a member of profession. The graduates may be employed not only in administration, production, and marketing but also in decision making processes in the fields of accounting, research and development, and public relations of the establishments

Program Learning Outcomes
After successful completion of this program, the students will be able to;
 1-  Students will have basic knowledge and skills related to the business administration.
 2-  Students will be able to use advanced level package programs used in information technologies related to the business administration.
 3-  Students will be able to demonstrate their theoretical knowledge of management functions and apply this knowledge in practice.
 4-  Students will gain the ability to adopt to the office environment, working conditions and team-work.
 5-  Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of legislations concerning the founding and running processes of businesses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates

The graduates may be employed not only in administration, production, and marketing but also in decision making processes in the fields of accounting, logistics, research and development, and public relations of the establishments   

Access to Further Studies

After completing the short cycle degree programme, it is possible for the students to continue further studies in the first cycle degree programme that can last up to 2 years, on condition that they pass the Vertical Transfer Examination.

Examination Regulations, Assesment and Grading

Each student must attend the courses, applied studies, laboratories, projects, seminars, workshops, graduation projects and other studies of the semester s/he is enrolled for. Students who have not attended at least %70 of theoretical courses are not allowed to take the final exam of those courses. Once the student fulfilles the attendance requirements in theoretical courses, no attendance is required if the course is to be repeated later.
Examinations are generally in written form. However, the instructor of the course may decide to conduct the exam in the form of an oral exam, project or assignment on condition that s/he states it on the course information form (syllabus). Examinations are arranged and conducted by the instructors teaching the courses. A make-up exam is given to students with certified excuses accepted by the relevant executive board within 5 working days after the final examinations are over.

Graduation Requirements

To be succesfull from all the courses required for graduation within the time period defined in the related regulation and to finish the study programme with the GPA of at least 2.00To do an internship of 30 weekdays
